It opened in March 2023 inside the old Department of Education Building, a sandstone pile designed by the government architect George McRae in the 1900s and left alone for decades. A hundred and ninety-two rooms, a twenty-metre heated pool, and a corner of Bridge and Young that is three minutes from Circular Quay.
