Merlin's Ubud
THE TAKE
Not a diner: a magic themed dining room where the oracle cards you draw decide the courses you get, three cards for three and seven for five, across four spaces including a magic shop downstairs.
WHY IT’S WORTH IT
1The card reading decides the menu, so no two tables eat the same dinner.
2The founding chef came through The French Laundry and Quince.
3It opened at the start of 2025, so it is the newest idea in a town full of old ones.
